The perfect romantic hideaway. Relax, unwind & enjoy our cosy cottage in Suffolk’s prettiest hamlet.
Built in the mid 17th Century and lovingly restored in 2009, Primrose Cottage is a Grade II listed building, a romantic hideaway in the heart of Kersey which has been described as Suffolk’s prettiest hamlet. In the Middle Ages Kersey was a thriving village producing woollen yarn and over 500 people occupied the timber framed houses. Nowadays it is a peaceful place, with circa 150 people occupying many of those same houses.
Enjoy the secluded south-west facing garden that can be quite magical on sunny afternoons. In the cooler months, the snug sitting room comes alive with its wood burning stove making for warm and cosy evenings. There is a good selection of games and books, plus local footpath and Ordnance Survey maps and a variety of local tourist information.
Simply enjoy being in this little beamed cottage as so many have done for well over three centuries.
Guests are personally welcomed and a generous welcome basket is provided with locally sourced products that can be tailored to your dietary requirements.
